Use Nexwin in ChatGPT and Claude

Connect your Nexwin account to ChatGPT or Claude and ask about your business in plain English: who's booked tomorrow, what a caller wanted, how many minutes you've used, or move a booking to next week.

The Nexwin connector is for Nexwin customers. You'll need an active Nexwin account (create one here) and a ChatGPT or Claude plan that supports apps or connectors.

What you can do

  • Check your bookings. See appointments in a date range (up to 30 days at a time), with customer, team member, time and status.
  • Review calls and chats. List recent calls or website chats handled by your AI receptionist, then open one to read its summary and full transcript.
  • See your team. List your active team members and their time zones.
  • Check usage and billing. Your plan, subscription status, minutes and messages used this period, and wallet balance.
  • Manage bookings. Create a booking for a team member, reschedule one, or cancel one.
  • Learn about Nexwin. Anyone can ask what Nexwin is and how to sign up, without connecting an account.

Things to try once you're connected:

  • "What bookings do I have tomorrow?"
  • "Summarise yesterday's calls and tell me which ones need a call back."
  • "What did the caller at 2:15 this afternoon ask about?"
  • "How many minutes have I used this billing period?"
  • "Move Sarah Chen's Thursday 10am appointment to Friday at the same time."

Connect ChatGPT

From the ChatGPT app directory (once Nexwin is listed): open ChatGPT, go to Apps, search for Nexwin, choose Connect, and follow the sign-in steps below.

As a custom app (available on ChatGPT plans with developer mode, on the web):

  1. In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps, open Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode. On Business and Enterprise workspaces, an admin may need to allow this first.
  2. Create a new app and enter this URL: https://mcp.nexwin.com.au/mcp
  3. Choose OAuth as the authentication method. You don't need a client ID or secret, because ChatGPT registers itself automatically.
  4. When ChatGPT opens the Nexwin sign-in page, sign in and review access (see Permissions).

Connect Claude

  1. On Claude Pro or Max, go to Customize → Connectors. On Team or Enterprise, an owner goes to Organization settings → Connectors.
  2. Choose Add custom connector and enter https://mcp.nexwin.com.au/mcp. Leave the OAuth client ID and secret empty.
  3. Select Add, then Connect, and sign in to Nexwin when prompted.
  4. In a conversation, turn Nexwin on from the + menu under Connectors.

Signing in and permissions

Connecting opens a Nexwin page at mcp.nexwin.com.au. Sign in with the same login you use for the Nexwin dashboard: email and password, Google, or Apple. You'll then see exactly what the assistant is asking for before you choose Allow access or Don't allow:

  • View: your bookings and team members, call and chat history (including transcripts and call recordings), and your plan, usage and wallet balance.
  • Change: create, reschedule and cancel bookings.

The assistant only acts on the Nexwin account you signed in with, and only with the permissions that account already has in Nexwin. Check that the page names the app you started from (for example "Connect Nexwin to ChatGPT") and that it will return you to chatgpt.com or claude.ai. If it doesn't, close the page.

If your login belongs to a Nexwin test environment, the sign-in page marks it clearly, and Nexwin labels everything it sends the assistant as test data.

Creating, rescheduling and cancelling bookings

  • Changes happen straight away. There's no extra confirmation step in Nexwin, so check the details the assistant proposes before you tell it to go ahead.
  • Your customers are emailed when a booking is created, rescheduled or cancelled, just as when you make the change in the dashboard.
  • Cancelling permanently deletes the booking. It won't appear afterwards, even as cancelled. It also removes any Zoom meeting and synced calendar event.
  • Online bookings need the customer's email address so Nexwin can send the video link. In-person bookings need an email address or phone number.
  • Bookings are made against a team member's calendar and time zone. If that team member is already booked at that time, the booking is refused.

Disconnecting and your data

You can disconnect Nexwin at any time from the app or connector settings in ChatGPT or Claude. Nexwin doesn't copy your bookings, calls or transcripts into the connector. They're read live from your account when the assistant asks. To keep you connected, Nexwin stores an encrypted sign-in credential and hashed access tokens, which are deleted automatically about 180 days after the connection was last used.

Information the assistant retrieves is handled by OpenAI or Anthropic under their own terms and privacy policies. For full details, including where connector data is stored, see Section 7A of our Privacy Policy.

Troubleshooting

  • "No Nexwin account uses that Google (or Apple) sign-in." You signed in with a Google or Apple login that isn't linked to a Nexwin account. Use the login you use for the Nexwin dashboard.
  • The sign-in window doesn't open. Your browser blocked the pop-up. Allow pop-ups for mcp.nexwin.com.au and try again.
  • "Reconnect your Nexwin account." Your saved sign-in has expired or was revoked, for example after a password change. Disconnect and connect again.
  • A booking was refused. The assistant will pass on Nexwin's reason, usually a time clash, a missing customer email for an online booking, or a booking you don't have permission to change.
  • "This connection link can't be used." Start connecting again from ChatGPT or Claude rather than reopening an old sign-in link.
