Nexie is the AI assistant built into your dashboard — a floating chat bubble that can answer questions about the page you're on, propose AI Setup changes for you to approve, and jump you straight to Calendar or My Team.

Overview
What is Nexie?
Nexie is a global AI assistant available on every authenticated page of your Nexwin dashboard — not just during onboarding. She reads a summary of whatever page you're on, answers questions in plain language, and can carry out a small set of confirmed actions on your behalf: editing an AI Setup field, or navigating you to Calendar or My Team with fields pre-filled.
She never acts without you Nexie only ever proposes a change or a destination. Every proposal shows an Accept / Deny choice — nothing is saved or navigated to until you accept.
Separate from the Setup Wizard's guide If you've seen a similar assistant during first-time onboarding (also named "Nexie"), that's a related but separate guide scoped to the wizard's steps. This page describes the dashboard-wide assistant that appears after you've completed setup.
Availability
Where Nexie appears
Look for a floating chat bubble in the bottom-right corner of your screen.
Appears on every page once you're signed in — Dashboard, AI Setup, Knowledge Base, Calendar, My Team, Call History, Chat History, and more.
Hidden on the Setup Wizard (which has its own step-by-step guide) and whenever you're signed out.
Click the bubble to open the chat panel; click again (or the × in the panel header) to close it.
Your conversation persists as you move between pages during a session — Nexie doesn't forget what you asked two pages ago.
Basics
Chatting with Nexie
Type a question into the box at the bottom of the panel ("Ask Nexie a question…") and press Enter or the send button. Nexie knows which page you're on and reviews the real, current values in view — you never need to copy-paste content for her to look at.
Product questions
"How do I add a routing rule for billing calls?" — Nexie explains features and where to find them, drawing on the same knowledge that powers your AI receptionist.
Content review
"Does my handbook mention refunds?" — On AI Setup, Nexie has the live values of every section, so she can review your actual configuration, not a guess.
Data lookups
"How many calls came in today?" or "Any missed chats this week?" — Nexie can answer from real call, chat, and appointment records.
AI Setup only
Proposing AI Setup changes
While you have an AI Setup section open, you can ask Nexie to change a field for you — e.g. "Set our business hours to 9 to 5 on weekdays" or "Add a routing rule for billing enquiries."
1
Ask for the change
Describe what you want changed, in the AI Setup section that's currently open. Nexie can only propose edits to fields visible in that section.
2
Review the before/after preview
Nexie shows the current value and the proposed new value. For fields where content is being added rather than replaced, the current value is shown unchanged alongside an "Adding" row — nothing is crossed out unless it's actually being replaced.
3
Accept or Deny
Click Accept to stage the edit into your draft configuration, or Deny to discard the suggestion. Staged edits still go through your normal Save Draft / Save & Go Live flow — Nexie never publishes on your behalf.
Full handbook rewrites aren't proposed by Nexie Your "How to Handle Calls / Website Visitors" handbook has its own dedicated editor with a destructive-change confirmation — Nexie can discuss it but won't rewrite it in place.
Any page
Navigating for you
Nexie can jump you to Calendar or My Team and get you started on a task, no matter which page you're currently on — you don't need to be on Calendar already to ask "book an appointment for Thursday."
Ask for…
What happens
Creating an appointment
Nexie navigates to Calendar and opens the new-appointment form. She won't guess at dates/times on your behalf — you fill those in yourself once the form is open.
Connecting your calendar
Nexie navigates to Calendar and highlights the Connect Calendar button — she scrolls to it and draws attention to it, but the OAuth step itself is always something you click yourself.
Inviting a team member
Nexie navigates to My Team and opens the invite form, pre-filling name and email if you provided them in chat.
Accept / Deny applies here too A navigation proposal also shows Accept / Deny — accepting takes you to the destination page with the form already open or the control highlighted.
Read-only
Context on other pages
On Call History and Chat History, Nexie can answer questions about what's currently loaded — counts, active filters, date range, sentiment breakdown — but she doesn't have any actions there. She's there to help you understand what you're looking at, not to change it.
Support
Reporting a problem
If you tell Nexie about an issue, she'll point you to the right place depending on what kind of issue it is.
A problem with a specific call or chat — Nexie points you to that call's or chat's own detail view and its Report a Problem button, which auto-attaches the transcript or summary for you.
Anything general (a bug, an account or billing question) — Nexie points you to the Help Centre link in the sidebar, or [email protected].
Preferences
Turning Nexie off
Nexie is on by default for every account. If you'd rather not see the chat bubble, go to Account → Profile and switch off Nexie AI Assistant — this hides the bubble everywhere except during first-time onboarding, where the wizard's own guide always remains available.
